What would be a sucessfull west coast road trip in your mind?
Obivously we want them to go 10-0 but realistically, what sort of reccord would you be happy with in light of the current standings (both division and WC race)?

5-5 but HOPE 7-3
7-3 would be great, but I'd probably be dissappointed with anything less than 6-4
6-4 or better. Anything less will be a disappointment.
Gotta go at least 6-4 to stay in the thick of things I think. That's honestly how I see things shaking out too: 3 of 4 in SF, 1 of 3 in LA and 2 of 3 in SD. If the Reds can sweep either the Giants or Pads though, things look REALLY sweet coming back. I'll even go be Cyclone's best friend for his playoff tix then.Originally Posted by Ltlabner
Bottom line is the Reds can't go below .500 on this trip. 5-5 is a slight disappointment, but should keep us still in it. Anything under and we'd need a 7-8 game win streak to lock up the wild card, and I'm not 100% sure this team has that in them.

Two games better than the Cardinals' record the next ten games.
I agree, 6-4, anything less would be dissapointing. 5-5 I could handle, 4-6 would be bad. 7-3 I would be thrilled!
I'll take 6-4, 7-3 and three series wins would be nice.
But hey... 10 games in my timezone.... I'm psyched!!
It would have to be better than .500 because of the Wild Card implications.
NL West teams will playing against themselves mostly the rest of the way. So someone will have to win those games.
The more losses we can burden the division as a whole with, the better.
(if this makes sense).

6-4 will be successful IMO.
Championships for MY teams in my lifetime:
Cincinnati Reds - 75, 76, 90
Chicago Blackhawks - 10, 13, 15
University of Kentucky - 78, 96, 98, 12
Chicago Bulls - 91, 92, 93, 96, 97, 98

.600 ball.. we gotta play .600 ball if we can do that.. we are going to the playoffs.
4 @ Giants, 3 @ Dodgers, 3 @ Padres
I'd love to see us win each series which would be a 7-3 Trip. However, i'll settle for 6-4.........as i said .600 ball..
in the last 10 we've did just that and we've got to within 1 game of the cards who have gone 4-6...

I'd feel like 4-6 would be us getting out alive. As disasterous as previous West Coast trips have been in years past, we can survive a 4-6, but I'd like to be 5-5 or better obviously.Originally Posted by AvesIce51
