I just watched the MLB clip and Freel absolutely made that play. Totally heads up fielding putting his hand over the ball and tucking his glove up against his body. Farney was working over time on that one!
...or Farney was just making sure Freel didn't swallow the ball. Which would have made for a fascinating highlight in itself:
