The Giants have 3 switch hitters and 2 lefties in the line up.
Bonds isnt playing, but he hasnt done much in the first 2 games.

In the end, the Cubs are still the Cubs...bunch of losers.

    Cards win 2-1

Gary bleeping Bennett. Cubs are the worst. (Preston Wilson gets the rally started--but I'd prefer Hollandsworth).

Barry has played a whopping 8 straight games and says he is exhausted. Perhaps he needs some "supplemental help"? Oops!

Cards win because Baker doesnt walk Bennet!! he has no clue how to run a pitching staff.. he did walk Puhols which was a great move, then with winning run on 2nd 2 outs.. lets the hot hitting Bennet beat him... geesh!!:thumbdown

I was about to post something like: "Why is Clayton batting 2nd! Why not drill a hole in front of Griffey in the lineup?" Then I did something novel like checking Clayton's splits. He has hit and gotten on base pretty darn well against LHPs. An .839 OPS from Clayton can be a solid asset if he is limited to those situations (and he can keep it up).

first was open and he pitched to Bennett with the pitchers spot behind him.
the cardinals already used Taguchi and Edmonds to pinch hit.
