MLB Extra Innings and Reds in HD

This has got to happen within a couple years. I think the federal mandate is that all signals must be available in an HD broadcast by 2009. That will be sweet when every baseball game on t.v. is available in HD.

Do the Reds have a local HD broadcast on cable systems in Cincinnati? They have one for the Indians here in Cleveland.

No, it's federal mandate that all Over the Air signals have to be "Digital". They could care less if it's High Definition. Directv signals are already all digital, they are not all HD. However, the trend is to do more and more sports in High Def and I'm sure the Reds will get with the program within the next 5 years.

Unfortunately, when ESPN or ESPN2 HD shows Reds games they're always blacked out. Baseball in HD is awesome. "Worth every extra penny" I tell my wife daily.
