    Brendan Harris

Anyone else following him as closely as I have over the last month or so?

He celebrated his 26th birthday last night with a 4-for-6 effort and has followed that up today with a 3-for-4 day with his 10th HR and two singles. His statline at Louisville now stands at: .341/.405/.565 - .970 OPS. His overall numbers now stand at .305/.387/.473. Pretty darn impressive.

Have the Reds caught lightning in a bottle again? The guy can 3B/SS/2B and can hit. He's looking like a real fine pick up at this point. I'd like to see him get a September callup and possibily be the starting 2B next year.

    3B Edwin Encarnacion
    SS Brandon Phillips
    2B Brendan Harris
    1B Joey Votto

That's a nice looking infield for the next five plus years or so.

Harris just singled again - two straight 4-hit games for him.

I dunno about starting 2bman next year but i'd like to see him get his share of at bats. Possibly a role like aurilla had at the beginning of this season

Is he going to be the key of "The TRADE"?

If he's not brought up here in a few days, I'll be surprised.

Wow, I knew he was doing OK in L'ville, but I didn't know he was playing this well. There's no reason he shouldn't at least be up in Sept.

Brandon and Brendan would make an interesting DP combo...
    (Brandon to Brendan to Scott?)
How many announcers would get those names mixed up?

Grande was still working on "Denorfria" (with the extra r)

Harris gets a lot of hits. Does he belong?

Seriously, is he good enough defensively as a second sacker? Or is he a utility guy? Anyone know about his defense?

Lets just hope he doesn't end up like the other Brandon that everyone fell in love with at the AAA level.

I know, I know. Brandon - Brendan. Close enough

Eh... Harris is more well-rounded, more athletic, less brittle, and appears to be more of a scrapper. Doesn't have Larson's power, of course, but few who wore the purple and black did.

I saw Brendan for the first time live and in person Friday night. He was playing 3rd (Bergolla at 2nd, Olmedo at SS) and he made a couple very nice plays, particularly on reaction-type plays.

His body-type screams 3B, not middle. Doesn't appear to be as mobile as I would want a MI, but it was just one game and first impressions and all that. Of course, 3B is a road-block in Cincy for the future.

Swing looked balanced and compact. I was impressed.

Jeff Kent played 2b for years with a 3Bman's body

apples and oranges of caliber of player but just saying it could happen.

    Re: Brendan Harris

With EdE at 3B and Phillips at SS, I could handle having just an average fielder at 2B.
