    All Signs Point to Homer

    The Chattanoogan
Cincinnati General Manager Wayne Krivsky has been in Chattanooga along with a couple other Reds' scouts. Krivsky took over in 2006 as general manager after former GM Bob O'Brien was let go by new Chief Executive Officer Robert H. Castellini.
Under Krivsky's leadership, the Reds are in contention for the playoffs.
The teams meet again Monday night at 7:15 p.m. Homer Bailey goes for his seventh win since coming to Chattanooga. He has yet to lose.

    He's coming.

I think it's time to bring Homer up and rest him as much as possible. Pitch him in long relief and sparingly.
This is the time. The real Reds organization is back.

Could it also be possible he is scouting some prospects to trade. Afew waiver deals have been made by the Phils and Mets maybe Trader Wayne has something brewing.

I think the headline of this thread is overstated hyperbole. Especially considering this is a six sentance blurb from an out-of-town newspaper.

Who is GM Bob O'Brien? :

Maybe to see if he is ready.

This doesn't mean that he's coming. It probably means that Krivsky is considering bringing him up (we already knew that) and wants to see if he is a major league calibre pitcher that can help us.

If I was one of the 20-some other players on the Chattanooga roster, I'd be offended by that post.

It's his last chance to see most of these guys play in 2006. What he sees will figure into his offseason and September decisionmaking.

I also doubt that Krivsky is there for Homer this season. I don't think he has the courage to pull the trigger on this one.

I don't think that the January meetings are even in K's thoughts right now.

I do not see what the big deal is about bringing Homer up. Narron would never pitch him anyway cause he is too young.

He'd better be thinking beyond next month, but where did I mention meetings? This is about rosters and personnel. He's probably even looking at the coaches, making decisions about who should stay and who should go. Remember that he didn't hire any of these coaches or draft anyone who's at Chattanooga. Intelligent decisions are made after effective information-gathering.

Remember Krivsky showed up in Dayton before he traded Zach Ward for Kyle Lohse.

    Just sayin.
The Sox traded Bullfrog the only player they've got for Shottenhoffen. Four-eyes Shottenhoffen a utility infielder. They've got a whole team of utility infielders.

    Sweet, Wayne's gonna trade Homer.

I can't wait to see what we get in return!
