    the 5th starter

Who is our 5th starter when they decide to use one? Are they going to call up Machilick, or is someone from the pen going to get the nod. The outside chances could be Jason Johnson, or Joe Mays. (GOD lets hope not)

I would prefer Jason Johnson or Joe Mays than Michalak. By calling up 3 bullpen arms today, we should conceivably be able to stick with a 4 man rotation. Realistically, we'll plug someone back into the 5th starter by committee revolving door.

IMO, I think they signed Johnson with the idea of giving him a shot at the 5th spot. I'm not saying that I think that is a good idea, but I believe Johnson will be the first choice.
