    Last time I checked, this team is in contention, in September, for the first time in a long long time.

    Credit that to the NL being down, whatever....but being in contention and playing meaningful games in September is a bigger stride than this team has had in years.

    Normally, I'd completely agree with you.

    But Milton had thrown only 86 pitches, and this is San Diego's park.
