This is allright, I like our position prospects, and we have some real pitching prospects as far as I can see. The outlook in our future is bright. Hopefully Wayne does some good utilizing our prospects and we don't trade them all away.

Cody Strait and Paul Janish should make this team. How far have Mark Schmarek and B.J. Symenski (sp) have fallen. I still hold out hope for both.

    As for the pitching.

Sam Leclure, James Avery, Phil Dumatrait should get some love.

Aaron Herr as the choice at 3B makes me thankful that Edwin is young. I guess I put Milton Loo there. I like Valaika over Janisch. Superdude seems to have the right 5 starters. We should just play w/o a catcher.

Wouldn't mind more discussion of the relievers. Don't know much about the upside of these guys. Got some info on Pelland in another thread and thought Coutlangus was pretty good.

Schmarek is basically done. He's never hit, and considering he was "the most polished hitter in the draft" according to Jimbo, that's pretty bad.

Syzmanski has a better chance, but that's not saying much.

    Re: The Reds prospect Team

    1B Joey Votto
    2B Brendan Harris
    SS Chris Valaika
    3B Milton Loo
    OF Chris Dickerson
    CF Drew Stubbs
    OF Jay Bruce
    C Miguel Perez (by default)

    RHP Homer Bailey
    RHP Johnny Cueto
    LHP Travis Wood
    RHP Sam Lecure
    LHP Jamie Arneson

I gave Arneson the nod over Carlos Fisher due to age. I know Arneson is only at Billings, however: he's a 6'5 lefty with a fastball in the low 90's and has strong periphals.

    RHP Calvin Medlock
    RHP David Shafer
    RHP Brad Salmon
    LHP Jon Coutlangus
    RHP Carlos Guevara
    RHP Derrik Lutz
    RHP Sean Watson
    LHP Tyler Pelland
