Norris Hopper: Your 2006 International League batting champion

Norris Hopper ended up leading the AAA International League in batting average; he hit .347. The next closest qualified batter hit only .308. To qualify, the hitter had to have a minimum 2.7 plate appearances per team game. The list is available HERE.

Hopper has almost no power. He hit 0 HRs, and his slugging was only .392, and his OBP was .378 with only 20 walks.

Chris Denorfia did not qualify since he fell a few ABs short, due to his time in Cinci. Chris hit .349, with a .409 OBP, 7 HRs, and a .484 slugging.

    Hitting .347 and OPS'ing .780 - Now there's something you don't see everyday.
