Eliezer Alfonzo might have the worst plate discipline of any player in the major leagues. Kim manages to get him to chase a breaking ball out of the strike zone and whiffs him. Two outs.

Another K and the batter doesn't reach first. We are making great strides here! Mihalak is warming in the BP. That doesn't give me a good feeling either.

Not only is San Francisco a weak-hitting team to begin with... but Barry Bonds, Moises Alou, and Omar Vizquel are all out of the lineup today.

Kim gets noted slugger Tomas de la Rosa on a comebacker.

    2-0 Giants after 3.5.

Isn't it usually better to start the soft tosser then bring in the fireballer?

Yeah, now all Wayne needs to do is acquire that fireballer and we should be all set.

Man, when ESPN puts up the stats of the players involved in "the trade," it really makes the Reds look bad...

Clayton at least hits the ball hard, but it's right at Linden in right. One down.

Every single hit ball is going right at people.

Looks like a long rest of the day.

I thought Kim was throwing fairly hard. Of course pretty much everyone throws harder than Michalak.

It seems as though we are playing in Bank One Ballpark during this homestand so far.
