Rich cranks one to the warning track, where Finley runs it down. Two outs.

I didn't think we were hitting much the first time around, but there have been some solid shots right at people lately.

Dunn watches two strikes as the announcers wonder why he's not sitting on 1-0 fastballs.

Not if you don't know much abourt Lopez and Kearns.

Austin: 6 HR since the trade.

Lopez: 14 RBI since the trade.

Not saying it makes the Reds look good by any stretch but I don't see how what ESPN put up on the screen makes us look that bad. It looks like a bunch of non impact players being shifted around for each other.

It was awful nice watching Adam Dunn hit for the last month or so.

    Now it's not.

watching this team morph into a joke has been less than enjoyable.

I'll give it till the end of this game before I officially pronounce the Reds offense to be horrible. We are turning every pitcher in baseball into a Cy Young candidate. Reds' latest scoreless stretch is since the end of the first inning yesterday.

Is it Kearns and Lopez' departure? This series they didn't face Cain, they didn't face Schmidt, yet they have seven runs (at GABP) in 23 innings.

Wouldn't have thought that, down the stretch, a lack of offense would be this team's undoing.

Dunn strikes out trying to hit a 90-mph fastball.

2-0 after 4. Maybe we'll get a hit at some point... what do you think?

The departure of Dunn hasn't helped.

The numbers of Majewski would make any trade look bad. But my point was that the numbers of the guys the Nats got don't really impress either.

Kearns and Lopez have name recognition to us. Most people in New England (where I live) would not be able to tell you who either of them are.

I wasn't opposed to the trade, just the numbers don't make it look to good. Lopez approaching .300, Kearns close to .250, Bray approaching a 5 ERA, and Majewski's inflated ERA of over 11....We'll just leave Clayton out of this

    Numbers don't tell all, though.

Sanchez flies out on the first pitch.

    Finley up.
