Is that an opinion or did they actually shut him down?

Bailey pitched well (6 IP, 5 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 3 K, 2 WP) but he was outdueled by veteran Corey Thurman and two relievers (one of whom was ex-Red Joe Valentine), 2-0. The Lookouts could collect just two hits.

Last year at this time Corey Thurman was finishing up a stint with the Florence Freedom. The Reds gave him a look but he didn't stick with the organization. He had an ERA under 3.00 this year. but he is a 27 year old in AA ball coming back from an arm injury. He was with Toronto in 2002 and 2003.

To see Bailey return to form following that strange outing last time, is really encouraging. To hold Huntsville to 1 run over 6 innings is impressive considering their incredible hot streak coming into the playoffs.
