Trent Green WAS my starting QB

Available in this league: Alex Smith, Chad Pennington, Kitna, Rex Grossman.

    Who would you pick?

I agree. Pennington is the best of that group.

Alex Smith looked real good yesterday. And I like his chances with their schedule better than Pennington's.

Alex Smith will definately be chucking the ball as they play from behind almost every game. Smith really seems to have a connection with Antonio Bryant (also a good pickup). In the end, though, I'd take Pennington because 1) he's experienced, 2) he has the best WR (Coles) and the best secondary WR (Crotchery) 3) they have NO running game at all.

So, in the end, both QB's will be passing quite a lot. Pennington will be throwing more because they have no running game. Pennington has the better WRs to throw to. San Fran has an easier schedule and Smith has Gore helping him out in the running game. It's pretty much 50/50. If you could go week-to-week with them both being available every week, I'd say play matchups. If you had to pick one to go with all season, I'd take Pennington because he has experience and has been successful in the past.

Ehhhh... I picked up both. I had Ernest Wilford filling that roster spot as a temporary replacement for Steve Smith.

About week 3 when someone else's QB gets whacked, they'll come to me.

Well, there you go. Now, you can play matchups.
