I don't think they were doing too much toying in the first half. They came out flat, while Cincy was hyped up and playing like a team of Ryan Freels in getting the opportunity to play the #1 team in the nation. That would/should motivate any team.
And Paterno has been around the game long enough that there is nothing he hasn't seen or really should be surprised by.
Paterno is gonna really emphasize the running game and controlling the clock next week because so far, regardless of limiting Cincy to -4 yds rushing, that is OSU's achille's heel - their run defense. Plus the fact that PSU's QB Morelli has not been very impressive. If Penn State tries to shoot it out with OSU, then they are gonna lose.
