Yeah, 5 glasses in an hour will probably get you a wee bit tipsy.

I drank most of a bottle one night when I was in 8th grade. Needless to say, we are no longer friends.
School's out. What did you expect?

I prefer Scotch's Southern Cousin, Kentucky bourbon myself. And premium Canadian Whisky.

All were found by mistake actually. I was in Vegas and asked for a Rum & Coke, and the Waitress brought me a Makers Mark & Coke instead, and I've been hooked every since.

Some amusing sites for those interested

Irish Whiskey is pretty good, as well. Not a big fan of the Kentucky Bourbons...

I don't have a whole lot of experience with scotch, my preference being for Jameson or Bushmills. I do like Macallan and Cardhu, but you can be sure I've never turned down a shot of any single malt.

Go to Nicholson's and they'll ask you if you'd like your scotch with Highland still, I believe they called it, which if you read their little quips in their scotch menu, it's basically Scotish distilled water. Really brings out the taste of older scotches.

Just read Augusten Burroughs' "Dry," which is about his battle w/ alcoholism. His drink of choice was Dewars, straight from the bottle of course. He let the empty bottles pile up (literally thousands) until they covered every surface of his NY apartment. When he returned from 30 days of rehab fruit flies were everywhere. Hmmm.

Those are great books, really funny and poignant. Also informative. I believe that's where I learned to stay away from martinis with large olives because they take too much valuable room away from the alcohol in the glass. (but again, these are good books in their own right, not just as how-to alcoholic manuals )

From the movie Mr. Mom as he is talking to his wife's boss at the house:

    Mr. Mom: Want a beer?

    Wife's Boss: It's 7:00 in the morning?!

    Mr. Mom: Scotch?
