I object to the use of the word "great" as applied to a meaningless play out the string game. We needed a little greatness two weeks ago. That being said, nice job Jr. Its always good to beat the Cubs.

The guy's just a hater. Very sad that he couldn't enjoy a moment like that no matter how he felt about Jr.

He was ragging on Arroyo too. And Coffeybro is right, Arroyo gave up no earned runs. Two errors in the first inning... they should have been out of that inning way before they were.

Beautiful day for a ballgame! I'm glad I and fellow RZers were there for the comback win!

The guy was ragging on Dunn as well... "Hope he likes Japan, because that were he'll be playing". There were some other funny stuff as well, but I can't remember now. I did mention something negative during the game and thought I sounded like FCB! I told Chip to shoot me now!

Nice to see TB, TM and of course, Chip. The sun was very hot, but there was a cool breeze. Seats were nice but my line of sight to home plate was blocked by a tall guy two rows in front. Also, lots of people jumping up and down during the game...

How was the crowd for the last home game? How did the players and fans seem to react during the game?

The old man still has a little something left. I had to leave so I didn't hear the ending. A great way to wind up the home schedule!

I had to work today, so I taped the game on WGN and just finished watching it! (I avoided all media so I didn't know the result--I know, I'm a die-hard.) All I can say is, WOW! Yesterday's win was great (I was there for that one), but this one had the flair for the dramatic. I was surprised when Cubs announcers Len Kasper and Bob Brenly said that Ken Griffey Jr. was in the on-deck circle to hit for Schoeneweis, and I admit that I jumped up off the couch when Junior hit the three-run PH-homer!

Congratulations to Junior for tying Reggie Jackson for tenth place on MLB's all-time HR list! #563!

So - Reds go 6-0 the rest of the way.

Cards go 1-5 - Astros the same 1-5.

Does that mean what I think - hypotheically speaking - Bronson Arroyo in Game One at Shea?

Ok, off the LSD I go

    From this morning's Chicago Sun-Times:

Burned by his bullpen all season, Baker couldn't believe his eyes.

''Boy, it's like a recurring nightmare,'' Baker said. ''Griffey, that's pretty amazing. The guy hasn't swung a bat in a couple of weeks and walks up there and just hits a homer. It's not that easy.

''That was some hero stuff right there. That's movie-script stuff.''
