    I would be very happy with that.

    But your formula is incomplete:

    Average offense + outstanding defense + high socks = above average overall player with style for the position
    Anyway, i've been trying to watch him closely at the games I've been to, and I am indeed most impressed with his speed. The only area of his defense that has made me nervous at times is his tracking, which seems wonky occasionally, but that could just be the sun. I actually like him quite a bit as a hitter. I know he'll never be Mr. Big Gun, but I see the potential for a lot of patience (which appears to be developing even this month as he's settling down), and he certainly has a bit of power when he makes contact.

    Thus ends my scouting report on Chris Denorfia.
