    Dusty Out as Cubs Manager

Per Yahoo sports Dusty is history with the Cubs. Not a surprise. What would be even less of a surprise is that Giardi is not the Manager of the Cubs very soon.

Which one? Firing Dusty? Or hiring Girardi?
Some people play baseball. Baseball plays Jay Bruce.

Andy McPhail also stepped down after the game last night. It will be a busy next couple of weeks for the Cubs.

Maybe. I fully expect the Cubs to make a bug push for Girardi though.

For the record, he wasn't fired, his contract just ran out. McFail quitting could be quite the boon for for the Cubs.
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

Except one guy named Bartman who ruined everything. He ruined a WS championship. He ruined the Dusty statue that was to be erected on Wayland. Darn him and his goat!

it allowed all those Cubs fans to continue to wear their badge of martyrdom. In reality, they wouldn't want it any other way.
