I was 16 years old. Have to admit I was spoiled by the Reds and Steelers success of the 70s. The 80s sucked for both teams only to have the Reds regain the glorious crown back in 1990.
Still 16 years since the Reds last World Series win is a long, long time.

I was watching it on TV with my wife and 3 kids in the other room. Our daughter (3rd child) had just been born that August.
