    World Series Game 5 Thread

Detroit's last chance tonight. Windy night in St. Louis with 23 MPH winds.

The term MUST WIN has never been more true for the Detroit Tigers...

People throw that term around a lot...

Freaking Billy Freaking Ray Freaking Cyrus? That was the best they could to for the anthem today?
I guess if this goes to another game, we can look forward to an apperance by Vanilla Ice. If we are really lucky, Iron Butterfly will do game seven!

That would be cool. We'd have a 12 minute national anthem.

No comments on Inge's defense?? That diving stop was awesome (too bad he rushed the throw) and his barehanded play on the bunt was very impressive. The more I see of Inge, the more I like him.

Getting a lead for Detroit means it's going to be all the more painful when they surrender it and lose tonight. But I guess it's always better to try and fail....

Verlander is no where near the strike zone so far.

Re: World Series Game 5 Thread

I was so hoping the series would go into the weekend, so I could see the final pitch of this baseball season.
But, off to work I go tonight...and I have a feeling in my guts it ends tonight.

Now the 3rd walk of the inning loads the bases.
