Technical RZ question.

Occaisionally I have posted pics on RZ. They are always really small. I see other pics in other people's posts and the pics are really big. I post them through the attachment option offered at the bottom. Am I missing something?

Whenever I post a picture, I use a different option.
Whenever making a post, you will see a row of Icons - one of them is a yellowish picture with what looks like a mountain on it. Click it.
You will need to host your picture off-site in order to do with. My preference is www.ImageShack.us, though others might use different sites.

I am at a loss here, I am afraid. It appears the site might not allow the full-sized picture to be hosted on another site (for bandwidth reasons, if true) - in every attept, I have either gotten a thumbnail picture with a link to the larger picture, or the famous box with red x.
And, since the picture is a microflash picture, I cannot simply save the picture and rehost it elsewhere. There are ways around this - but they are pains in the butts.

ah, BTW, when hosting one of those pictures, simply cutting and pasting the url provided in the "post in a forum" field worked...though you will still get a thumbnail, as seen below

That is strange. We have the thumbnail, but this time it is not clickable (unless you meant to do that).
Do you have a link to the second picture you posted?

FYI, when I posted the small picture with the link, I used everything from the third field ("Post In A Forum"):

No worries about the "little posting spurt".

I'm quite puzzled myself as to why this isn't working for you. It should be as simple as clicking the button and pasting in the URL of the image.

Ok...I don't know if I am onto anything or not...
I just joined webshots, simply to see how it works.
Here is a step-by-step tutorial on uploading your own pictures...if this helps:
On the site, you will see a button at the top which says "Upload" click it.

It will take you to an area tp upload a picture. Click the red button which says "Choose file" - you will get a pop up window:



Hopefully, you will know where on your system you have saved the file.
Once you have found the picture you want to upload and have clicked ok, it should be in the large upload box, as shown below.

(note, you can apparently upload more than one picture at once. Grand. Just found that out lol).
Hit the red button at the bottom of the large which box with your picture(s) in it...the one which says "Start Upload"...your picture will be uploaded:



You will now be taken to a different screen:

The second field reads: "(Upload picture to) a forum or message board".

Copy all of the information in that field by highlighting everything in the field, and hitting "Ctrl" and "c" at the same time.
Go back to your RedsZone reply field. Copy the picture you want by hitting "ctrl" and "v" - all of the information should appear within. (In this case, you will not need to click onto the icon paintmered provided a picture of...WebShots provides all of the information you need in that field)
and, you should get your picture upon posting:



EDIT: Ah, grand. Apparently, you can only provide thumbnail picture links through WebShots. Darn it.
ImageShack does allow you to post full-sized pictures, and is also free. I've posted more than 3000 pictures through ImageShack with no problem, and not one lost picture (egads, 3000? I am a geek!)

(sorry if this was overly simplistic...I wanted to make sure I covered as many bases as possible - and was kind of covering it for myself)
I will look at WebShots further to see if it possible to easily repost a full sized picture you have earlier provided.

If you are trying to post a pic off the net, right click on it and select properties to see the size. Basically what you see is what you get (post), unless you enlarge it with various photo imaging software.
