Whoo hoo! 554th place!

669 this year, I really tanked.
Scott Podsednik was quite the popular player.
28th place. I made the top 10 a couple years ago. If the Reds had kept throwing Joe Mays out there, I'd have won this year.

What are the rules for that? Pick the worst fantasy team possible?
I finished in 79th place. I was rolling in the top 10 into August, but then Runelvys Hernandez went from being atrocious to just being bad, Kaz Matsui moved to Colorado, and Russ Ortiz didn't pitch as much. Oh well, maybe next year.
Still, Ortiz managed to score 77 points in only 63 innings, so that has to be considered something of an accomplishment for him. I guess when you go 0-8 with an ERA of 8.14, that'll happen. And for that performance, he managed to pocket just under $8 million. Not a bad gig if you can get it.
As Chip said, you're basically correct. But you also have to pick bad guys who actually get put on the field by their teams. Tony womack only did people so much good this year, before the Reds cut bait.
It's fun. Do it next year. You don't have to have a paid subscription to Baseball Prospectus.
