Think he's worth $4mill? I don't know. I don't think I'd fall over myself to sign him for that.
That might be a little bit high, but for a team coming off a World Series & probably anticipating a spike in attendance, it's not totally unreasonable, IMO.
I think his salary was $8.5M last year - and at over 50% off I'd say it's a good deal for the Tigers. It's amazing the contracts being given out this offseason.
Tigers get him for 1/2 of last year. With what he did for them in the playoffs I'm not suprised it's not even more. Just glad it's not us. I love Casey though.

A lot of guys would work for half price to play for Leyland and the Tigers, if they have a competitive bone in their body. Casey is one of those guys!
