This is interesting that Harris is rated #6 in the system on this list.

That shows what many have said about our system. Big falloff after top 5...

I remember one time going out to the mound to talk with Bob Gibson. He told me to get back behind the batter, that the only thing I knew about pitching was that it was hard to hit.

I instantly give no weight to any Reds prospect list that features B.J. Szymanski listed anywhere other than the "bust" section.

Why so quick to give up on a guy who has only played baseball the last 4 or 5 years, toss in some injuries and it has been a rough go for BJ. Put the guys has power, speed, plays good D and has a good arm. I just think he needs to give up switch hitting and just focus on hitting from one side or the other.

He's 24 years old and he can't hit in Low-A ball. He whiffed an astounding 191 times last year, but only drew 46 BBs -- his overall OPS was .724, saved only by the fact that nearly half of his hits (50/115) were of the extra-base variety.

I might be going out on a limb, but I'm betting that the number of players who struggled in A ball at his age and then went on to have productive major league careers is quite short.

Cueto should be ahead of Stubbs.

JPs list has lots of holes in it.... but we all have different opinions. JP believes a lot in someones ceiling, and regardles of whether some guys reach it all, he ranks them accordingly to that theory.
