Ronaldinho's unbelievable goal... (from last week)

Had to share this... easily one of the best displays of skill and steadiness in front of goal I've ever witnessed.

Wow. Just a stunning display of skill.

Of course, he probably would have scored if he had just done a simple chest-trap and volley. But the flair was nice.

Too bad for Brazil that he was completely invisible in the World Cup.

Too bad all that athletic ability was wasted on soccer.

Only took a day for that joke to crawl out of the ocean and test its legs.

I'll counter with, Too bad you feel that way.

Yeah, he could be using it to swing a stick at a little white ball...
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

Hey I played soccer my Jr. and Sr. years in high school. We had some very talented guys, most soccer players are extremely talented, and I would always tell them "you guys might be popular if you played a real sport." And they'd go back at me with jokes about basketball and baseball and I'd say "hey we don't joke about baseball." So I like to kid soccer players and fans, hell my brother is a high school soccer coach and I give him crap all the time, it's all in fun. So I apologize if I offended anyone with my insensitive soccer bashing comments.

Anyone catch the Fulham-Arsenal match yesterday? Great game. I was shocked by the pace Fulham brought to bear against the Gunners. Luis Boa Morte may have played his best game ever.

I saw the end, the announcers were noting that as well.

The Man U - Chelsea game was nice too.

Here's a pic of his house on the Spanish coast. Hmm...I guess he did waste all that ability.

Dropping Essien to the halfback position really changed that game. Chelsea had been getting trapped pretty well in the midfield in the first half and when Essien began to dribble forward from the halfback position it created quick transitions and really opened up the field.

In the Fulham-Arsenal game, Fulham backs Leroy Rosenior and Moritz Volz were bursting through the Arsenal midfield on a frequent basis too. I'm starting to think that the total football concept of attacking defenders is the next big wave in the game.

Well if money is what we're going for he should have become a Formula-1 driver.
