33rd round pick in 2003 by the Expos out of Arcadia HS in Arizona.
26th round pick in 2004 by the Expos out of South Mountain CC.
Doesn't look like anything to be excited about.

Thanks for the info edabbs44.
I've been really puzzled about this transaction. It's one thing to pick up a player as a Free Agent to fill out your minor league rosters, but this guy was acquired "for future considerations" and he hit a buck sixty-five this year at a low, short-season Single A team for the Rockies. I'm intrigued by it because I think there's more to the story, but I can't figure it out. And please, I'm not hoping to instigate a "what the heck is WK or the team doing" thing.
I wrote to a reporter that covered this kid's team last year for some insight and got this reply back:
I'm still guessing they see a live arm or something and hope to perhaps convert him to a pitcher. That's strictly a guess on my part.My impressions of Suarez are that he's a good-field, no-hit player. He's a
pretty versatile player - he played every infield position last year - who
makes a nice pivot on the double play and doesn't make too many mistakes.
However, his offensive abilities won't be enough to get him to the majors
and maybe not even above Double-A level.
I only talked to him a few times last year because of his lack of playing
time, but he realizes he's not a high-priority player. Unfortunately, he
played like it, and, as a result, the manager didn't show much faith in him.
His focus and intensity seemed to be lacking most of the time.
He seems to know the game pretty well, however. I wouldn't be surprised if
his best years are ahead of him as a coach or manager.
Hope that helps.
Good luck to the Reds this year. I wish they hadn't gotten rid of Austin
Kearns.
P.S. I left in his last line. I'm sure some will appreciate the sentiment.
Well my son dared me to ask about this trade while at Redsfest, so I did. Wayne and Terry Reynolds looked at each other, asked "Who?" and said they didn't know anything about it. Apparently Baseball America made a mistake.
Thanks Redsmetz for asking the question. That is wierd that Baseball America reported a trade.
Maybe the Rockies unilaterally traded him to the Reds with the intention of considering mentioning it to the Reds in the future...

Yeah, my 18 year old son kept saying, "come on, Dad, I dare, ask the question!", so I did fully expecting to hear something like "Our people think he has a live arm" or something like that. The didn't deride me and there were lots more question worse than mine. But I've emailed Baseball America's minor league guy to ask "What the....?!?". Or maybe Wayne gets back to the office and finds the memo from Johnny Almarez about the kid!
that was a classic moment for me redsmelz. Krivskys face was great. He didnt have a clue who in the world that guy was. He could have been sitting on the stage beside him and would have had to introduce himself.
