    Baseball America's "Best GM Tools"

Baseball America decided to take their "Best Tools" feature and expand it this year to the GM Ranks. They did the survey of current GM's and Asst GM's around baseball.

    The categories were
Talent Eval - Major League Players
    Talent Eval - International Players
    Talent Eval - Young Players/Prospects
Talent Eval - Front Office Staff
Talent Eval - Pure Statistical Instinct
Relationships & Communication - Dealing with Agents
Relationships & Communication - Dealing with Players
Relationships & Communication - Dealing with Owners
Relationships & Communication - Dealing with Media
    Relationships & Communication - Dealing w/ Managers & Coaches
    Constructing Trades
    Pulling the Trigger
    Rules Hopscotch
    Fiscal Skills
    Devloping a Pipeline
    Work Ethic
    Trustworthiness
    Creativity

It's a subscribers feature, so you've got to dish out the greenbacks to view it, but I'll pass along that Wayne Krivsky did not get mentioned as the best in any one category (Pat Gillick, Billy Beane & Terry Ryan seem to dominate) but he was listed as getting multiple votes in both the "Rule Hopscotch" & "Fiscal Skills" categories.

    Rule hopscotch sounds like fun
There is no such thing as a pitching prospect.

This whole concept is more than a little goofy.
