.Angels' Rivera breaks leg in winter game

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) -- Angels outfielder Juan Rivera broke his left leg Friday during a winter league game in Venezuela.
Rivera broke his left tibia in the Oriente Caribbeans' game against the Aragua Tigers in Maracay. The Angels said Rivera's leg has been placed in a cast and he will be flown to Miami, where he will be re-examined by a trauma specialist Saturday.
Last season, the 28-year-old Rivera had career bests in average (.310), runs (65), hits (139), home runs (23) and RBIs (85)
