    Prediction: Bailey...

I predict Homer Bailey starts the season at triple A but is called up shortly after the Reds move to a five man rotation. He will be on a strict 100 pitch limit, but he will be virtually the number three starter shortly after the season starts.

Unless the Reds make an unexpected trade, I truly believe this will happen. If Bailey falters, he will be sent back for no more than a month.

Wayne won't bring him up until he is as positive as he will ever be that that will not happen.

My prediction is that Bailey will struggle in AAA and people will start to speculate that he's injured. However, next year, he will erase all skepticism and become close to what everyone thought he would be (but not quite what was hoped for).

I think he'll start at AA for a while then be moved up to AAA for the rest of the season.

The Reds showed wise restraint by staying away from some of the pitchers who switched teams this winter, but I can't see them going into the coming season with the current rotation. I don't think Bailey will head north with the Reds but will follow soon afterward.

If the Reds can upgrade the third slot in the rotation, they will probably be patient. If not, I can't see them not giving Bailey a shot.

By the way, I notice this post was moved. Where did I accidently post it?

Never mind. I've figured it out. Besides, I think Joe Nuxhall trumped me.

there were many times last season they thought about bringing him up. if he shows any kind of promise in spring training he will be up no later than may.
there's nothing like bowling a 300 game! 13 now and retired.
