Actually I rarely watch ESPN during College football season being a Ohio State fan because of the lack of respect they give OSU football. To say that they pander, which I believe has something to do with prostitution IIRC would mean that try to sell The Buckeyes, when realistically they usually do the oposite.

They have to do something to offset Mark May.

Figure out how many times they've done College GameDay in the parking lot of St. John's Arena and you'll realize the fallacy of your statement.

They give plenty of respect to OSU football, in fact probably too much.

    Not Mark May.
For every action there is an equal and opposite criticism.

They go to the best games of the week. Most weeks during the season there are only 2 or 3 three marquis games of national interest. The season lasts 16 weeks. OSU tends to be in the top 10 in rankings, and ESPN/ABC like to promote the games that they carry. What good is doing GameDay at a game that will air on CBS, NBC, FOX, or FSN? Since the ESPN-Tom Friend-Maurice Clarret debacle, OSU fans tend to hate ESPN, we can be touchy.
Hugs, smiling, and interactive Twitter accounts, don't mean winning baseball. Until this community understands that we are cursed to relive the madness.
