    Cincinnati Loses a Buddy

This makes me feel old for some reason.

    RIP, Buddy.

I always wondered why he stopped doing his commercials. Now I know.

    RIP.

I've no longer "got a Buddy in the carpet business."

    RIP, Buddy.

Actually, he recanted in an Enquirer puff piece two or three years ago. The highlight of the article was when he said, and I quote, "I don't care about selling carpet; I just looove to make money."

    RIP, Buddy.

    Re: Cincinnati Loses a Buddy

    RIP Buddy.

I met him one night when I was a security guard in college. He had brought in a pair of signed Hanes briefs signed by Boomer on the weekend when no one other than the radio station DJ was in the building. I think it was 1990 or 1991. He left them with me to give to the station, and proceeded to tell me the story of how he got them and asked if I "knew who Boomer was."

This guy was the real deal - will give him that.
