    Olmedo passes through waivers again...

No one claimed him as Toronto sends him to AAA.

We gave up a lot there, huh?

We should have claimed him again, lol.

To make room on the 40-man roster for Ohka, Toronto outrighted infielder Ray Olmedo to Triple-A Syracuse. The Jays claimed Olmedo off waivers from the Reds on Friday. Ryan Roberts, who was designated for assignment on Jan. 9, was also outrighted to Syracuse.
Does a player have to clear waivers when they are outrighted to the AAA team?

I simply don't have access to a "cares about RBI" place in my psyche. There is a "mildly curious about OBI%" alcove just before the acid filled lake guarded by robot snipers with lasers which leads to the "cares about RBI" antechamber though. - Nate

They have to clear waivers if being removed from the 40 man roster. Then they can be sent to AAA.

It would be a courtesy, especially at this time of the year to not claim him.
It's absolutely pathetic that people can't have an opinion from actually watching games and supplementing that with stats. If you voice an opinion that doesn't fit into a black/white box you will get completely misrepresented and basically called a tobacco chewing traditionalist...
