Good interview, some decent nuggets with respect to where (level) alot of guys might be playing in '07. Also was good to hear Reynolds mention Janish in a very good light and his thoughts on Cueto. The only thing that surprised me was that he didn't mention Wirfin Obisbo when asked about sleepers and the like.

Recently I read that Obispo is not likely to come to the states, as the US does not like to give Visas to people who try and get into the country illegally, which Obispo did.
What did he say about Cueto? I didn't have the time to listen to it, not yet anyways.
I thought Wirfin was able to get in sometime last summer? I thought that I had read that somewhere, maybe it was speculation, I dunno.Recently I read that Obispo is not likely to come to the states, as the US does not like to give Visas to people who try and get into the country illegally, which Obispo did.

In the Reds BA Top 10 list chat someone asked about Obispo and the response was that it is unlikely that he gets into the states after the Visa Fraud attempt....
In a post September 11th climate, the stunt he pulled can't be forgiven.
It stinks all the way around. Note to self: Don't screw with Homeland Security.

Great interview -- thanks for posting, doug.
On Cueto, Reynolds basically said he'll likely be right behind Homer, going one level at a time. Said his numbers have been just as good as Homer's and people in the organization are excited about him. He did point out the difference in stature between the two, saying Homer is 6'4"-6'5' and Cueto is about 6'0" though he didn't say anything about whether his height would impact his role long-term. Nothing about Cueto's repertoire.
It sounds as if they've found their replacement for Almaraz -- some guy named Stogell (sp?). Haven't seen this reported anywhere....
How in the world do you pronounce Wirfin Obisbo's name? I have been to two Q&A's with Krivsky and never have asked him about the guy because I thought he wouldnt know who I was talking about cause I couldnt get his name out right.
Im guessing his first name is pronounced like its spelled but is his last name O-bees-bo?
I truly believe Wirfin is a prospect who will never be. His Visa scam has screwed him longterm unless he gets traded to the Yankee's then Cash will talk if he is worth them bringing over.
