When I read this, a song immediately started running through my head, but after a few minutes, I realized what I was thinking of was "Too Fast For You", an early eighties song by The Church, from back when I lived in Australia. I'm sure that's not it.
It would have been a good one, though.

Great song. I always liked Steve Kilbey's lyrics. If I ever add my list to the top ten song thread, it will include The Church's "Almost With You" from The Blurred Crusade.
