    Closer Idea

Wasn't Cho Han Park's agent trying to sell him as a closer to the Red Sox. He was and I assume is still a power pitcher and did well as a closer in the world baseball competition. Maybe he could be the answer!!

His K/9 has floated around 6.5 the last 4 years -- basically David Weathers territory.
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

His k/9 was as a starter not a relief pitcher where he faces a guy 3 or 4 times a game. Think it would improve a lot if he closed.

Rotoworld floated the idea of Chan Ho being a better target for the Reds to be the closer than Hermanson, but I fail to see the thinking in that one.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

I heard Park signed with Mets for 3 million Reds would of paid that.

I'm probably in the minority, but I think of Dustin Hermanson is healthy he'd be a very nice option at closer for this team.

I'd much rather have Hermanson than Park. I'll gladly let the Mets deal with Chan Ho.
