    Larkin Maize and Blue Forever

This gave me goosebumps when I read it. I love Barry Larkin. Even if he did go to the school in that state up north.

Why Why? The horror. I saw that on the Enquirer and wish that I never saw the article. As a Buckeye fan and Reds fan, that is history I would rather not know. I still love Larkin though.

Why wouldn't you want to know that? What's the problem?

"I thought he was going to jump across his desk and absolutely strangle me," Larkin said, recalling a sit-down meeting he had with the legendary Michigan football coach. "He told me, 'Larkin - this is the University of Michigan. No one comes to the University of Michigan to play baseball.' "
Larkin received among the largest ovations during a halftime ceremony at Crisler Arena that recounted his Major League accomplishments that included 12 All-Star appearances and a National League MVP award in 1995.
These are the things that gave me goosebumps. Thank God Barry decided to play baseball. I grew up with Barry Larkin. I was like 6 when he was a rookie. This article made me think back to my childhood and remember how much I loved Barry and all he brought to the Reds. He gave me, and tons of other Reds fans, wonderful memories and experiences with my family that I'll never forget.

    Excuse me for getting sentimental.

Hal Morris and Chris Sabo also played for Michigan.

" Michigan won the Big Ten eight times in the '80s and appeared in the College World Series four times. Those teams featured such players as Barry Larkin, Hal Morris, Chris Sabo, Scott Kamieniecki and Jim Abbott. Larkin, Morris, Sabo and Kamieniecki have all won a World Series ring. Abbott won an Olympic gold medal. "
