    Buckeyes struggle

The buckeye basketball boys barely survived in Happy Valley yesterday. After building a halftime lead of 40-19, the bucks stalled in the second half, and allowed the 10-14 overall, and 1-10 in conference play Nittany Lions crawl back in the game. Ohio state is lucky to win after 90% free throw shooter Jamar Butler, and 75% foul shooter Ron Lewis, both missed foul shots giving Penn State a three as time expired to win the game. The buckeyes hopefully will take care of Minnesota and Penn state so the Wisconsin game on the 25th should determine the big ten champ. The buckeyes however, can't keep blowing these big leads. A twenty point lead against MSU earlier in the year also turned into a barn burner, where the bucks won by two. I think the bucks have plenty of individual talent to win it all, but they'll be lucky to get to the sweet sixteen if they play like they did last night. I also wanted some oppinions on what people thought of the technical on Oden. That shifted the whole game. after that tech, PSU went on a 22-5 run.

Everybody makes a run in college basketball. They have won enough games looking good that they can play one bad half and I'm not going to freak out.

I wouldn't say they've only played on bad half lately. Last nights game is starting to become a theme.

Played bad at Northwestern, blew a 20 pt halftime lead at home against Michigan St, almost blew a lead at home against Purdue, and then blew a 21 pt lead against a really bad Penn St. team.

This team needs to put together a 40 minute game soon. I believe that game will come against Wisconsin, but I really hope they simply dominate Minnesota Saturday.

It's nice to see them be able to win even when they do not play great, but only playing 1 half of basketball needs to end soon or they will lose quickly in the NCAAs.

A talented team, but still a young team. They have to learn focus and how to finish it up.

Never underestimate the road. I'm a Dayton Flyers fan, I know that all too well.

It's basketball. No matter how good of defense you play, you can't physically stop the other team from scoring. When a team goes cold, you can't help but build a lead. When they heat up, there's not a whole lot you can do. The margin between the top few and the "not top few" is infinitely smaller than football.

They're a young team that went on the road and beat a conference foe.
