Am I just not looking in the right places, because I never see anything out of the ordinary when I go to MLB.com when these "tamperings" are alleged to have occured.

I would not be surprised to see the Pete Rose Autograph Shop being advertised on mlb.com.

Since it seems to be only Wheelhouse that sees these things, I'm thinking that instead of the MLB site itself being hacked, his ISP's DNS server is what's being hacked -- redirecting "mlb.com" from where it really is to a different site entirely. DNS info is constantly updated so that sort of thing tends to self-correct.

There have been others that have seen it, and no it's not the DNS server as it is clearly MLB.com's frame around this stuff...it is definitely the website.

OK, gotcha. From your descriptions it wasn't clear what exactly had been altered.
