    We wouldn't have been so lucky..........

    Had he signed with us.
    He would have pitched for a couple months first and then decide he was hurt.

    It takes alot for him to walk away from $5 mil and retire instead of going on the 60 day dl and cashing the checks.

    If he retires because his injuries don't allow him to perform, he would still get his money.
