Britney, though it won't be so much an image salvage as a foray into porn.

Step one, show the world your womanly flower. Step two, release grainy homemade porn tape. Step three, make first theatrical release porn film since the 1970s.

They are all pretty pathetic, IMO.
Cruise is the Christ of Scientology, didn't ya know?

    Cruise 'is Christ' of Scientology

TOM Cruise is the new “Christ” of Scientology, according to leaders of the cult-like religion.

The Mission: Impossible star has been told he has been “chosen” to spread the word of his faith throughout the world.

And leader David Miscavige believes that in future, Cruise, 44, will be worshipped like Jesus for his work to raise awareness of the religion.

A source close to the actor, who has risen to one of the church’s top levels, said: “Tom has been told he is Scientology’s Christ-like figure.

“Like Christ, he’s been criticised for his views. But future generations will realise he was right.”

Cruise joined the Church of Scientology in the ’80s. Leader L Ron Hubbard claimed humans bear traces of an ancient alien civilisation.
"It's easier to give up. I'm not a very vocal player. I lead by example. I take the attitude that I've got to go out and do it. Because of who I am, I've got to give everything I've got to come back."

I'm going to say Tim Hardaway. Since he's the least relevant nationally his rant will be forgotten the quickest. And since he didn't have any real image before it shouldn't be too hard to get back to that.

Spears dropping K-Fed like 4th period French was probably the best move to right her ship.

Regardless, her music career is over, if it ever truly began.

I'm just hoping she can actually turn into a competant mother, although I'm not holding my breath.

Have to agree with Limbaugh being out of place on this list. Limbaugh is a professional agitator, his entire schtick is to push the envelope, and frankly his hardcore constituency probably at least tacticly agrees with most of his controversial statements. Unlike the others, he will face no real censure from making arguably bigoted statements.

Yeah, I don't think she is - or was - relevant musically. but that doesn't mean she's going to be out of the public spotlight anytime in the near future. She'll be like Paris Hilton with kids.

Is it a given that they're insane because they married the weird Tom?

Katie seems a sweet gal, and good actress (Pieces of April comes to mind).

Nicole is talented and successful, though does seem to migrate toward men w/, let's say, problems, as per her current hubby.

I'm going to say Spears -- if she releases a "good" (aka "popular") album in the near future that gets a lot of radio airplay, pretty much all her sins will be forgiven.

Spears is a bad news buffet.

The public is fascinated with anything she does. She could paint three stripes on a turd and call it the official turd of Brittney Spears and sell millions of them.

She'll get back in shape. She never had that much musical talent, but she could dance.

    That's a pop star.

    Re: Famous idiots

I went with Tom his next flick is directed by Robert Redford. It is about soldiers in Afghanistan. It has Meryl Streep and Redford himself co starring along with up and up newcomers Derek Luke and Michael Pena. Tom Cruise's agent usually picks the right movies for him and this seems to fit the category.

Mel made Apocalypto which came and went like a fart in the wind. He's gonna have to actually be "in" a movie for him to redeem himself.

Rush is a fat man with a mic. Pass Why does America constantly give the dumbest human beings microphones?

Kramer probably actually helped his career in a way because nobody cared about him before he got out of line. Nobody even knew the dudes real name. Most of them still don't Pass

Rocker.. Maybe a spot on VHI's Reality Show Perfect Candidate but it wont help his goat like status

Tim Hardaway...the crossover dribble back to B- Level All Star NBA retiree when everyone forgets his comments

Spears....ugh I've never seen someone go from pretty cute to pretty skanky in such an unclassy way. First she marries Vanilla Ice Jr, pops out a few, and then is guzzling a few PBR's with Paris Hilton. She has a chance, but chances are she'll never regain what she had.

Gibson. I have always liked Mel. What he did was wrong, but IMHO I think some good may actually come out of it. As human beings it sometimes takes "missteps" like these in our lives to really open our eyes and effect change.
