Baseball Poetry

In my English class, we're supposed to be writing poetry at the moment. So obviously, mine had to be baseball related. Just figured I'd post it here.

Baseball in the Spring-

Spring is around the corner and baseball is in the air.
Visions in my mind of hits being taken away with a little flare.
Soon the sound of cracking ice will turn into the cracks of bats.
Players taking the field with pristine jerseys and hats.
It’s almost time again to start rooting for the home team.
This truly is the American dream.
