    Wow, I feel old. Still one of the most important sports memories of my youth. I still prefer the Winter Games to the Summer Games because of the Lake Placid Olympics.
    Wear gaudy colors, or avoid display. Lay a million eggs or give birth to one. The fittest shall survive, yet the unfit may live. Be like your ancestors or be different. We must repeat!

    I'm with you, Yachtzee...hard to believe it was 27 years ago. I'll go so far as to say that it is my favorite sports memory of all time. I still get chills every time I hear this.

    It is one of those moments that, even knowing the outcome, having watched it endless amounts of times since 1980, still gets the hair on the back of my neck to stand up. Even the Movie Miracle did that - the only time I actually cheered at the end of a film.
