    Louisville, KY - Single game tickets for the 2007 season at Louisville Slugger Field will go on sale to the general public Thursday, March 1 at 10 a.m. This will be the first opportunity for fans to purchase individual tickets for any of the Bats 72 home games.



    The upcoming season marks the eighth year of play at Louisville Slugger Field as well as the eighth year of affiliation with the Reds. The Bats open their season on Thursday, April 5 against the defending International League champion Toledo Mud Hens at 7:05 p.m. at Louisville Slugger Field. Pre-game Happy Hour with $1 Budweiser beer, post-game fireworks and a magnet schedule giveaway to all fans along with an appearance by Christopher "Man in the Middle" will highlight Opening Night. The entire 2007 Bats schedule, including updated promotions and special events can be found online at www.batsbaseball.com.



    Louisville will once again have a game on Thunder over Louisville Day, Saturday April 21 as the Bats take on the Norfolk Tides at 2:15 p.m. Thunder tickets range in price from a $20 lawn seat to a $35 first base field reserved seat. This marks the first time ever in which first base reserved seats have been available to the general public for Thunder over Louisville. Thunder fireworks, which will be shot off the Second Street Bridge at approximately 9:30 p.m., are best viewed from the first base field reserved seats.



    Also available for the first time ever are $10 field access tickets to watch Thunder over Louisville on the outfield grass of Louisville Slugger Field. In addition, national recording artist J.J. Grey and MOFRO will perform a post-game concert from the Overlook Deck following that day's game for all the fans sitting in the outfield. All fans will need their regular April 21st game admission ticket to enter the stadium on Thunder Day as well as their field access ticket if they wish to sit on the field. Field access tickets will only be available for purchase at the Louisville Slugger Field Box Office.



    Tickets may be purchased at ticketmaster.com, where tickets may be printed from your home computer using the ticketFast system, Ticketmaster Charge-By-Phone (361-3100), Ticketmaster Ticket Centers and at the Louisville Slugger Field box office located in the West Hall of Fame. Regular hours at the Louisville Slugger Field box office will be Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. The Ticketmaster Ticket Centers are located at all Kroger Supermarket locations.

    What do you think the chances of seeing Homer pitch on opening day for Louisville will be? I definetly feel like he'll start the year with the Bats, but will he get the ball on opening day? I better get my tickets just in case!!
