Not bad. I was scared when I saw the thread title though. First thought in my head was "oh God, please don't get hurt."

    That last dunk was nice.

I actually remember that. It's from the Foot Locker Slam Fest in the early 90s. They used to play it piece by piece during halftime of ABC college basketball telecasts, back when ABC had the Big 10 package. I remember some 350 pound weightlifter guy almost ripping the rim off, and he had some hops for such a huge dude.

Re: Jr. in a dunk contest

It's interesting to contrast Junior's personality back in the early 90's. While he wasn't quite the jerk Bonds was, both were cocky as all get out. Junior, perhaps due in large part to the injuries, has mellowed out and become quite humble. Back in the day, he was the poster child for youthful arrogance.
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

His boy has dunked twice this year, and they were both mammoth efforts!

Mike Conley is one of the best athletes you will ever see. Not surprised with how awesome his dunks are.

Thats freekin sweet. I can honestly say I didn't expect to ever see a dunk highlight video featuring two Reds Players. Deion had some nice ones too.

Dieon's eyes were almost level with the rim.

Wasn't Conley a long jumper or something in the olympics?

People forget how nearly superhuman great runners and jumpers are. They don't get the hype that players in high profile team sports do, but their athleticism is nothing shy of ridiculous.

Re: Jr. in a dunk contest

I loved how Conley took off from about the free throw line and then nearly flew off of the rim only to hang on and then do a pull up....that was amazing!!!!
