    reds pitching

Hello Everyone This Is My First Post. It Seems The Reds Starting Pitching Is In Pretty Decent Shape . I Feel Like They Ought To Give Homer A Full Time Job And Make It Work. Anyone Agree?

Connersville huh....Ive been there a few times. Welcome to the boards.
First off, while I think Homer is one of the Reds best 5 starting pitchers, I dont think he should break camp with the Reds. He wont turn 21 until May, and I think it would benefit him, and the team if he were to get about 60 innings in AAA. Not just becuase he would get extra work with his offspeed stuff, which is his current weakness. Toss in the fact that he would be the #5 starter, and he would probably not pitch often in April with the Reds, as they often skip over the #5 spot in the rotation in the first month with so many off days.... leaving him rusty for when he has to start pitching every 5th day.

I could just hear it now. As soon as he throws a couple of good outings in a row. PITCH COUNT! Why does he need a pitch count?!? He looked good to me. Let him set out there and get his seat wet. Make him pitch as much as possible.

NO THANK YOU! Put him in AAA>
    WHEN DOES IT STOP!?!?
