I drink maybe 1 or 2 sodas a month, if that.

My favorites are Coke and then probably Root beer & Ginger Ale.

I really don't like sugar a whole lot though and the idea of artificial sweeteners is kind of creepy to me. I'd just rather not have it in my body.

Wal-mart's fake is called Dr. Thunder. It's actually not that bad for a cheap knock-off. I haven't had it for a few years but we used to drink it like crazy freshman year of college.

I've been a caffeine addict(seriously lol) since I was about 8. I've cut it out of my diet for about the last 2 weeks and I've been a lot more tired come nighttime, but I feel a lot better on the whole.

Thanks for the Mitch Hedberg chuckle.

I've notice that the lesser knockoffs all go by Dr. or Mr. something too. No "Major Pepper" or "Joe Pibb, Esq."

A little Coke trivia for you:
Coke Zero is the CocaCola Classic formula without corn syrup or sugar.
New Coke(from the 80's) was the Diet Coke formula with corn syrup and sugar.

Down South we call all soda Coke. The first time I went to a DC hot dog vendor, I asked him what kind of Coke he had and he looked at me and said, "Diet and regular." Language can be funny.

That's right. I can remember being asked "what kind" when I ordered a coke in Atlanta and knowing that they weren't asking if you wanted a Diet or not.

    Or taste.

Doesn't surprise me. I always thought they tasted alike.

I gave up all carbonation about a year and a half ago, it eats oxygen. I drink about 2 gallons of water everyday. I finally got my wife to start doing it, I also made her give up coffee. But she's been doing it for a few months and she has more energy now and doesn't even miss the caffeine in the morning.

I drink a lot of coffee, but I also usually have a diet Dr. Pepper at work. If I'm at a pizza joint that doesn't offer diet Dr. Pepper, I'll just go with a diet Pepsi or diet Coke.
