Reds Lineup 3/2 v. Twins; Hamilton batting 2nd

    From Trent's Blog:
SARASOTA, Fla. -- About to run out to Ft. Myers, but looks like Jerry Narron is sticking to his word of getting as many ABs for Josh Hamilton as possible. Hamilton is going to DH today and bat second.

    Hopper LF
    Hamilton DH
    Encarnacion 3B
    Hatteberg 1B
    Valentin C
    Bellhorn 2B
    Castro SS
    Denorfia RF
    Gil CF
    Lohse P

And Denorfia still can't get a start in CF. At least he's starting though.

    Hopper leadoff?

Seems like that would be a nice spot to get at bats for a Mr.Denorfia

Hopper hitting leadoff. Deno hitting 8th. I continue to think that the Reds see Hopper as a viable bench player, but don't see Deno having a role with the team. Just guessing, don't necessarily agree with it, just a feeling.

I don't this means anything negative re: Denorfia. I think they are using these early games to evaluate other players because they already have a good idea of what Denorfia can do.

There is no way IMO that Hopper makes this team and Denorfia doesn't.
School's out. What did you expect?

I am planning on following the game this evening, and I plan to be drunk.
There is no such thing as a pitching prospect.

No kidding, 2 hours ago, I was talking to my buddy and mentioned the Reds were playing tonight and he was like, "You wanna get together and follow the game and drink a few before we got out?"

    Great minds think alike.
