Will be married 25 years this June. Whenever my wife and I have a disagreement/argument I think what my life would be without her and the kids. It helps to maintain balance.

TRF, congratulations. I just had lunch with a young guy whose been married for 7 months and I shared with him something I told my wife years ago when we were first married - and I'm sure you know this - marriage is work. It takes something everyday to choose again, to keep loving through the every day-ness. I know the feeling of being constantly behind, of getting the kids off to school etc. Our youngest will leave for college in the fall and then it's going to be very, very different.

It's been 25+ years now, not every day, as you said, the best, but I still choose her and love her all the same.

And we're in Spring Training now - when she could name more Cardinals than Reds, I knew it was time to get her into mid-season form. Every day now, I have her read the "meet the Red" column in the Enquirer. We have to have our priorities.

Good luck and enjoy the day!
