Wasn't me. You're thinking of Mike Sweeney.

I'm sure he meant Mark Sweeney, not me. Go ask him.

I didn't do anything. Ask my Mom.

As you can tell by this thread. I have no problems with productivity at work.

It will be a sad day when RedsZone meets the corporate firewall but until then ...

Redsland and Red Leader have won this thread. To the rest of you, thanks for your participation. There will be Gatorade and Weetabix available by the changing rooms.

It's possible to win a thread?! Sweet!

I'm going to start one about Adam Dun now! Or maybe Billy Beane!

    Snitch.

I have to get up and walk across the room and log onto an unclass computer to check at work.

I happen to be at work right now.

I really only have time to check once or twice a day and only for about 5 minutes.

Man I hate it when work cuts into my Reds time.

I can't view RZ from work, but that I am still not very productive.
I've been to dinner at Jimmy Buffet's house, and I've eaten it at a homeless shelter. And there's great joy and harrowing terror to be found in both places.

    Re: Redszone and productivity

Ok so here's my honesty about this question.

About two years ago - I had a friday where I swear I spent nearly an entire morning from 7:30 till lunch on Redszone.

I think that's when the lightbulb went off. I used to be chronic visitor to both here and the Gallery during work day, but I noticed my work was slacking - and that's just not cool.

I rededicated myself to my work with regard to both net browsing and socializing at the office - and am still happy I made the decision. I've gotten a couple of promotions out of it (no joke) so the pocketbook welcomed the decision and I've felt light years better about it personally in the end.

So I'm on here significantly less than before poster - don't get me wrong I still poke in on my PDA if a meeting or telecon is extremely boring and I log on at lunchtime for a couple of minutes, but that's really it.

How do you include redszone in your multitasking when you are a golf pro?

For what you guys charge for a lesson, staying off redszone for the half hour is the least you could do .

    Re: Redszone and productivity

Got this email at work coming back from vacation today...

    Just a reminder…

Road Runner called me on Friday to alert me that recently (over the last month or two) our internet usage has gone way up for things other that we would expect for purposes of our business. They read off to me the top ten sites that we are hitting and it wasn’t until 6 or 7 that we hit Monster and CareerBuilder. Some of the top sites included sites like Ebay and other shopping sites, online gaming sites, online video (movie and TV) and other sites unrelated to company business. The last time this came up, the president was irate. I am avoiding telling him, but often he will ask me for the RR report. My hope is that when he does, this problem has been corrected. Please do your part to curtail this. It’s bad for you and everyone else at the company because not only does it lower your productivity, but it jeopardizes those who might pop on to check something out on a rare occasion. Eventually, RR will end up blocking everything and that will be bad for everyone else. This goes for phone and email as well. I really appreciate your cooperation on this. Please make appropriate choices.

Since I drive for a living, I can honestly say I'm never on here while I'm working.
